Srinagar, April 11: Carrying forward its
plans of expansion and to serve the people across the
nook and corner of the state, JK Bank today opened yet
another branch in Kunzar area of the North Kashmir. This
raised the overall branch strength of the bank to 558.
The branch was inaugurated by Mr Mohd Amin Pandaw, Vice
President Kashmir North amidst enthusiastic locals, who
looked quiet happy on seeing their demand of having a
branch in the locality fulfilled. Speaking on the
occasion Mr Pandow informed that the branch is provided
with all the latest facilities like anywhere, ATM card
facility etc. He said that the branch upholding the
Bank’s policy of serving to empower would help in
economic empowerment of the people by generating
employment as well as increasing business in the area.
He further urged people to make saving a habit and
sought full cooperation from them.
The function was also attended by Mr Nazir Nowshseri,
Vice President Kashmir South, Mr M. Syed Wani BDSM
Baramulla as well as prominent personalities of the
area. Mr Nazir Ahmad Nowsheri while congratulating the
people of the area said that J&K Bank is at its present
position only because of the people of the state and it
is just the honest and positive approach of people which
will carry them forward.
The official of Business Development and Promotion
Centre, Baramulla, assured people that they will be
coming to them and providing them various banking
facilities. The people of the area have been demanding a
JK Bank branch from a long time. Speaking on the
occasion, Chairman of the local Beopar Mandal thanked JK
Bank Management for paying heed to their long pending
demand. He assured that they would give all possible
support to the Bank accepting J&K Bank’s importance and
role in the lives of the local populace.
In his brief address Business Development and Sales
Manager, Baramulla, reiterated the J&K Bank’s focus on
the state and said that we are aiming to match
international banking standards.
In the end the branch manager, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat,
thanked people for helping selflessly in setting up the
branch. He assured them of all possible cooperation. On
the very first day the branch had an overwhelming
response as nearly 300 accounts were opened.
