Srinagar, April 11: J&K Bank promoted 893
Banking Associates to Associate Executive cadre. The
orders to this effect were issued today by the Human
Resources Division of the bank. Over 1200 eligible
Banking Associates were scanned through interview by the
promotion committee of the Bank.
The bank has taken number of measures during the past
two years to boost the morale of its staff so that there
is all round improvement in the customer service of the
bank. While understanding the importance of everybody’s
role, the bank has devised career progression even for
drivers, care takers, cook etc. In fact every employee
has a defined role and status in the bank.
It is worth mentioning that the bank redefined its human
resources strategy to complement the business strategy.
“Through the process of HR revamping, the bank has
shifted from old generation private sector bank to new
generation private sector bank. The bank has empowered
the people down the line. The bank is one of the banks
in the country to introduce performance management
system and performance-linked variable pay. Promotions
in all cadres have been done. Jobs have been specified
and this revamp has led to revitalization of the bank,”
said Mr. A. K. Mehta, President and Chief Peoples’
Officer of the Bank.
