Srinagar, April 22: The greatest strength of
J&K Bank lies in the unparalleled emotional attachment
of its employees with it. Every employee has given his
heart and soul to the Bank over the years. Indeed, the
J&K Bank has become what it is today -- an iconic
institution -- largely because of the sheer dedication
of its employees. The involvement of employees in the
Bank has given its stakeholders’ concept a new meaning.
Dr. Haseeb A Drabu, Chairman and Chief Executive of the
bank stated this after issuing promotion order in favour
of 291 employees in various cardes of the bank.
Notably, with a plan to build all round competencies and
have a framework for succession planning, the bank
promoted five Vice Presidents to the post of President.
Mr Gh Ahmed Beigh, Mr. Tafazul Hussain, Mr Sahibzada Gh
Mohi-ud-Din, Mr Parvez Ahmed Nengroo and Mr. K K Sharma
are the five newly promoted Presidents.
Besides, 19 Senior Executive Managers have been promoted
as Vice presidents, which include: Mr. Nazir Ahmad
Parimoo, Mr. Mohammad Amin Narchoor, Mr. Raja Abdul
Latif, Mr. Mohammad Afzal Khan, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Lone,
Mr. Om Prakash Sharma, Mr. Fazale Mehboob Gani, Mr.
Vagish Chander, Mr. Abdul Hamid Banday, Mr. Shafat Ahmad
Banday, Mr. Meera Jamwal, Mr. Roop Krishan Shah, Mr.
Surjeet Singh, Mr. Abdul Rauf Bhat, Mr. Abdul Rashid,
Mr. Mohammad Sayed Wani, Mr. Surinder Krishen Bhat, Mr.
Nayeem-Ullah and Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Pandit.
The Bank also promoted 267 Associate Executives as
Executives.
“The bank has over the last two years done more
promotions than had happened over the last ten years.
Employees who had not got a single promotion in almost
two decades have been elevated. Indeed, at some levels,
there will be two promotions within a year,” said Dr.
Drabu. He further added that more importantly, on all
occasions, the bank has gone beyond the prescribed norms
and availability of vacancies. “This has not been done
thoughtlessly, but with a careful design in mind: to
maximize the best of what we have,” he said.
