Srinagar, June 30: On its way to carve a niche J&K Bank is all set to raise the level of credit by expanding relationship with renowned corporate houses across the commercial centres of the country besides massive credit dispensation on its home turf i.e., Jammu and Kashmir.

This was stated by Dr Haseeb A Drabu, Chairman and Chief Executive J&K Bank while interacting with leading corporate houses in Mumbai. Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, Honourable Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir was also present on the occasion.

Dr. Drabu, while elaborating Bank’s strategy to tap markets across the country said, “Innovative financial products, Third Party product distribution, Private banking, Investment banking, Venture Capital financing and Channel financing are our new areas of thrust to provide financial solutions to our customers and further strengthen Bank’s fundamentals.

“Though Jammu and Kashmir remains our core strength yet a network of 29 branches in Maharashtra speaks about our strong presence here” he said.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad Honourable Chief Minister J&K lauded and hailed the role played by Bank in transforming the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Azad commended customer care of J&K Bank and exhorted the banking community in the state to emulate J&K Bank.

Mr Mohammed Dilawar Mir, Honourable Minister for Public Health Engineering and Tourism, J&K was also present on the occasion.

It is notable that J&K Bank’s business has crossed 10 billion dollars mark.
