Mumbai, July 27:
The J&K Bank having a network
of branches spread all over India opened
its 544th Branch at Mahim, Mumbai today.
The branch was inaugurated by Jenab
Abdus Samad Abdul Gani Khatib Sahib,
Chairman, Pir Makhdum Saheb Charitable
Trust, Dargah Mahim Sharief in the
company of two prominent Trustees namely
Mr. Suhail Yakub Khandwani and Mr.
Farouk Suleman Darvesh.
The bank’s Vice President & Zonal Head
(Mumbai), Mr. Tafazal Hussain, while
speaking on the occasion informed the
gathering that the Bank under the
leadership of Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu,
Chairman and Chief Executive, a renowned
economist has achieved business turnover
of USD 10 billion recently. “It has
created a unique place in Indian Banking
fraternity, having won awards for
performance, customer services, best
ethics, India’s fastest growing bank,
safety parameters etc. Credit Deposit
Ratio of the bank as a whole as on
31.03.2007 was 68%”, said Mr. Tafazul.
Mr. Tafazal Hussain informed that M/S
CRISIL, a subsidiary of M/S Standard and
Poor’s International Rating Agency has
assigned FAA+/Stable(High Degree of
Safety), P1+(Strong Safety) to various
deposit schemes of the bank. He assured
all those present that the bank by
virtue of using the latest technology,
blended with personal touch in customer
services shall provide best banking
service to all the clients. The bank is
offering a complete range of financial
products with tailor made schemes for
deposits and lendings, investments,
credit/debit card, life and non life
insurance products, mutual funds,
internet banking, SMS banking etc. He
stated that bank shall besides
inculcating savings promotion, also play
its role in extending genuine and need
based credit for promotion of small
business, trade & industry,
exports/imports, education, housing and
other retail activities etc.
He further stated that the Bank shall
also involve all strata of society by
way of Financial Inclusion and do its
best to provide multiple banking
facilities. |
