20: J&K Bank made three more
ATMs operational today at Pantha Chowk
(near D P School), Rainawari and
Ganpatyar, Srinagar. In the past three
days, customers thronged the ATM
locations in the J&K State, particularly
in Kashmir valley. Almost Rs.28 crore
were dispensed through more than 135
ATMs in the valley. In Kashmir alone,
over Rs.20 crore were dispensed through
these machines.
It is notable that J&K Bank is pioneer
in bringing hi-tech banking to the door
steps of the people in the State. First
ATM in the State was installed by the
Bank in 1996 at Residency Road Srinagar.
